ARCIC 2 – Salvation and the Church: Pastoral and Spiritual Implications

ARCIC 2 – Salvation and the Church: Pastoral and Spiritual Implications

  • Semi-Technical
  • Timothy Bradshaw

This article examines an important document that functions in Anglican-Roman Catholic relations. The document was produced by ARCIC, i.e., the Anglican Roman Catholic International Commission. Their statement on salvation and the church was generally received with little criticism. This article wants to consider some criticisms that were levelled against ARCIC 2, noting in particular pastoral implications of the document's view on justification by faith, sin, and union with Christ.
