Har Magedon: The End of the Millennium

  • Technical
  • Meredith G. Kline

This essay is a study of the significance and function of "Har Magedon" in Revelation 16:16. Kline wants to show how his interpretation leads to the recognition that "Har Magedon" is Mount Zaphon and that the Har Magedon battle is the Gog-Magog crisis of Ezekiel 38 and Ezekiel 39.

The Feast of the Cover-Over

  • Semi-Technical
  • Meredith G. Kline

This essay wants to demonstrate that the verb "pasah" in Exodus 12 should not be translated as "pass over" but "hover over." This image is the same as Genesis 1:2 where the metaphor is used to compare the Creator-Spirit to a bird hovering over the deep-and-darkness. Kline provides some background for the use of avian imagery for God and his angels.

Double Trouble

  • Semi-Technical
  • Meredith G. Kline

Does God ever punish double the sins of his people? How should "kepel" in Isaiah 40:2 and the rest of the Old Testament be translated and interpreted? Is God really just? Kline's conclusion is that a double payment is never required for any passage.

  • Semi-Technical

Is there any abortion legislation in biblical law? Kline argues that there is not. However, there is a law that deals with a human fetus found in Exodus 24:7. The significance of this law for modern abortion practices is considered.
