The Case for Covenantal Infant Baptism – A Pastoral Overview of Infant Baptism
In the introduction of this book, Gregg Strawbridge tells the story of the change in his personal convictions regarding baptism. He outlines the biblical evidence that persuaded him to a position of paedobaptism (infant baptism).
In the first chapter, Bryan Chapell outlines the biblical evidence Presbyterians use as the foundation for infant baptism. Chapell discusses the covenant with Abraham (Genesis 12:1; Galatians 3:8), examples of household baptisms (Acts 16:30-31; 1 Corinthians 1:16), and the biblical benefits of infant baptism. He concludes by offering an explanation that he has often used as a pastor during the administration of baptism.
