This essay presents a short theology of ministry to open up discussion and seek new avenues of thinking. The author considers the nature, scope, qualifications for, and form of ministry. The relevance of all this for women in ministry is considered.

In Greek culture in the New Testament period, there were men who claimed to work miracles—wise men who were known as "divine men."
