This article is a sermon Hebrews 2:9, which speaks of the humiliation of Christ and the glory revealed therein.
Part of Christ's humiliation was becoming a man in a sinful world in order to save his sinful people. The Lord of glory "made Himself of no reputation" (Phil. 2:7) by becoming one of us. Jesus Christ had to undergo the humiliation of being born in this world because he, as the Second Adam, had to be truly of the earth while still being of heaven.
This article explains that at his resurrection, Christ experienced a radical transformation from humiliation to exaltation. The author looks especially at Romans 1:3-4.
Looking at the humiliation of Christ through the rejection and contempt He faced, this article shows that humiliation and suffering for Christ's sake is what marks the Christian life. It is through humiliation that victory is gained.
