The Chronology of Ezra & Nehemiah, Part 4

The Chronology of Ezra & Nehemiah, Part 4

  • Semi-Technical
  • James B. Jordan

This article considers the text of the early verses of Ezra 4, and provides several interpretations of them. The author opines that the Ahasuerus of Ezra 4:6 and the Artaxerxes of 4:7 are both Darius. He then revisits the meaning of Daniel's seventy weeks in Daniel 9:25. Finally, he provides a bibliography on biblical chronology.

To believe means that man must not rely on what he is, or can be, or shall be, nor on what he does or can do, nor on what he feels or does not feel, but to rely solely on what Christ has done, is doing and shall yet do. Charles H. Spurgeon
