In the Old Testament, gatekeepers played a big role in guarding the holiness of the tabernacle and temple in reference to those who were coming to worship. This role was fulfilled in Christ. Today, officebearers serve as gatekeepers, and Christians can be gatekeepers as citizens of their country.
