The task of being a Christian teacher is not easy. This article outlines some of the challenges faced by Christian educators, contrasting the Christian approach of education with the rationalistic (or secular) philosophy of education. It provides some advice on basic educational duties such as explaining, motivating children to learn, being a model, disciplining the children, personal teacher struggles, and possible approaches to using textbooks.
