Toward an Evangelical Theology of Religions

Toward an Evangelical Theology of Religions

  • Technical
  • Clark H. Pinnock

One of the features of modern society is pluralism, and in particular religious pluralism. Should Christianity have a more inclusive approach towards other religions? The Lausanne II Conference placed the matter clearly on the table and agenda of evangelicalism. Pinnock wants to encourage interreligious dialogue while at the same time maintaining that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone. He maintains the global reach of the gospel and God's gracious offer of salvation through Jesus Christ.
