The map indicates the spacial extent of the walls of Jerusalem at various stages in the Old Testament periods. These stages include the period when Jerusalem was a Jebusite city, when Solomon made an expansion (Solomon's Expansion) of the walls, and also the periods of the later monarchic Wall and the post-exilic wall.
