The Contribution of the Septuagint to the Biblical Sanctions against Homosexuality

The Contribution of the Septuagint to the Biblical Sanctions against Homosexuality

  • Semi-Technical
  • James B. DeYoung

Arguments for or against homosexuality often are based on the translation of specific passages in the Old Testament. This essay considers the translation of "to know" in the account of Sodom in Genesis 19:5, 8, and the meaning of Sodomite in Deuteronomy 23:17-18, 1 Kings 14:24, 1 Kings 15:12, 1 Kings 22:46, 2 Kings 23:7, and Job 36:14.
