Is it true that religious ideas began with animism, developed into polytheism, and ended with monotheism? This chapter argues for the existence of God, and the implications of believing thereof. Included in the discussion are the perspectives of the Greek philosophers on religion, as well as the concepts of skepticism and pantheism. The author also maintains that atheism cannot be supported by science.
