The author discusses several passages from Deuteronomy to show what the Bible says about sexual assault. While sexual abuse usually refers to a pattern of behaviour over a period of time, and sexual assault usually means an incident in which a person is forced or coerced sexually, the article does help pastors and counsellors to recognize the principles of God’s Word in thinking about and assessing incidents of sexual assault.
