I am a Fetus

I want to speak to you today as a fetus, conceived 14 weeks ago and now living in a mother's womb. I speak because many in your society do not know who and what I am. Who Am I?

I am a Creature of Godβ€’πŸ”—

I did not bring myself into being. In the final analysis, my parents did not bring me into being. God brought me into being. For 14 weeks now he has been knitting me together in my mother's womb, carefully, lovingly, skillfully.
I do not belong to society.
I do not belong to government.
I do not belong finally to my parents.
I belong to God.
I am the work of his hands.

I am a Living Creatureβ†β€’πŸ”—

I am not a river.
I am not a rock.
I am alive.
My heart is beating.
I have arms and legs that move.
I have a brain, eyes, ears, a mouth.
I have fingerprints.
I swallow; I furrow my brow.
I can make a fist.
I am a living creature,
fearfully and wonderfully made.

I am a Human Being, a Bearer of the Image of Godβ†β€’πŸ”—

I am not a fish.
I am not a bird.
I am a human.
I am still growing, still developing, still maturing. But in just 14 weeks, I've already come a long way; I am growing as a human being.
Like God, I will be creative.
Like God, I will speak.
Like God, I will know right from wrong.
Like God, I will take no pleasure in death.

I am the Object of God's Special Prenatal Careβ†β€’πŸ”—

God's eyes looked at my body when it was still unformed, when I was only a zygote. When I was a single cell, God saw me. He superintended the process of cell division. Like a potter, God has been shaping me. Like a weaver, God has been knitting together my inmost parts.Nothing is left to chance.
My sex.
My hair.
My I.Q.
God determines it all.
I am the special object of God's prenatal care. I am a fetus, and the last thing I want to tell you today is that…

I am a Part of God's Eternal Planβ†β€’πŸ”—

Before God formed me in the womb, he knew me. Before I emerge from the womb, God has determined the work he wants me to accomplish in his world. All my days are written in his book. I am a unique person with a unique task to perform, a task God has planned just for me.
I am a fetus, conceived 14 weeks ago and now living in a mother's womb.
I am a creature of God.
I am alive.
I am a bearer of God's image.
I am the object of God's prenatal care.
I am part of God's eternal plan.
Don't treat me as you please.
I don't belong to you.
I belong to God.
